- Buffalo Bills
The Bills are a great regular season team but always seem to crumble in the playoffs. Last year they won 13 games and likely will win around that again this season. This team has a ton of talent across the board. They have been fairly quiet in free agency as there are not many holes to fill on this team. A weird signing was giving Deonte Harty a $9.5 million contract. For those who don’t know, he is a wide receiver who has been in the NFL for four years and has never caught more than 36 passes in a season. In the draft they may use their late first-round pick on a wide receiver or more offensive line help. - Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have been doing everything they can in the past few years to win, except address their quarterback situation. This team should make the playoffs again this season but Tua Tagovailoa will have to show improvements and most importantly, stay healthy. Tua’s health is the biggest question mark for this team and after they acquired Tyreek Hill and now Jalen Ramsey, it is clear this team is all in. The draft will be important for Miami as they do have some small holes to fill on their roster. Their first pick is not until the 54th selection and they likely will use that on a tight end to replace Mike Gesicki who was signed by the Patriots. - New York Jets
This division has gotten really tough in the past two years. Miami is good and now the Jets project to be good as well. There was a lot of promise shown last season with this team. They had a great defense but their offense was severely lacking. The deal to bring in Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t gone down, although it is expected to. With Rodgers throwing to Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard in this offense, it could be a playoff worthy team. Lazard was their big free agent pick up but there may be more on the horizon. Offensive line help is what the Jets should target in the draft. - New England Patriots
You should never count the Patriots out for any season but picking them any higher than No. 4 in the AFC East here is really hard. The Jets, Dolphins, and Bills all project to be better and more talented than them. Mac Jones appears to be the starting quarterback heading into the season, which also isn’t a great sign. They probably downgraded Jakobi Meyers to get Juju Smith-Schuster and their defense was subpar last season that got little to no upgrades so far. New England also needs an offensive tackle and may have to use their 13th overall pick on one when they also desperately need more playmakers.
