5 TEs NFL 2024 Prospects

Tight end has become an increasingly important position on an NFL team. The majority of top teams in the league also have elite tight ends. Kansas City has Travis Kelce, Philadelphia has Dallas Goedert, San Francisco has George Kittle, and so on. Tight ends now both have to be able to block and make plays in the receiving game. There are some 2024 prospects at the position who could be the next great tight end in the NFL.

Brock Bowers Georgia

It seems like Bowers has been dominating college football forever now. He is on the smaller side for a tight end but has the playmaking skills of an elite wide receiver and runs after the catch better than even George Kittle can. In 2021 he had 14 touchdowns and last year he had 10. Georgia will even hand him the ball quite often in the red zone. NFL mock drafts for 2024 have him going as high as a top-five pick. Bowers has that special ability to dominate a game and will be extremely sought after in the NFL.

Ja’Tavion Sanders Texas

Sanders doesn’t project to be an elite run after the catch player but his sheer size and catch ability should make him a high draft pick. It is even likely he could be taken in the first round in 2024. While he doesn’t have break away speed, he will prove to be difficult to take down even at the NFL level. Watch him at Texas along with other top weapons this year to see how much hemeans to their team.

Jaheim Bell Florida State

Jaheim Bell is a raw tight end prospect. At South Carolina he was okay as a pass catcher but didn’t receive that many opportunities. They knew they wanted to get him the ball though and because of that he got 73 carries last year. In a new offense at Florida State he will look to go out and prove he can be an NFL tight end. If there was a tight end to watch it is Bell. Due to his potential he could be a mid round pick even if he doesn’t produce that much next year.

Brevyn Spann-Ford Minnesota

For any team looking for a massive target and blocker, they will have to look no further than Brevyn Spann-Ford. He stands at six-foot-seven and weighs 270 pounds. His pass-catching skills are coming along as well. Spann-Ford had 42 catches for 497 yards and two touchdowns last season. If he can improve on that he will surely be a third-round pick at least.

Michael Trigg Ole Miss

Trigg is a safe tight end prospect. He has ideal size and the ability to make plays in the receiving game but doesn’t really do one thing extremely well. There are concerns with his run blocking and explosiveness too. In the NFL he projects to be a solid tight end that hasn’t shown the ability yet to be elite. Watch him in 2023 to see if he has improved his playmaking skills and he could fly up draft boards.
